Routine is made of repetitive actions which go by unnoticed. It is when we are close to change that these blinks become noticeable since we become aware that they are about to stop repeating themselves forever. This project portrays this eagerness of capturing these moments by freezing them in time and memory.
The piece is made up of 20 photographs that were picked of hundreds taken during the last months of my university studies. It is a self-portrait without focusing the camera on me but on my circle of close friends. Since the pictures don’t stop to tell us the story of each one of the individuals, it is not a portrait of them but of my context and of this specific moment. The lighting, depth of field, framing and the decision of the occasions portrayed capture not only the presence of these instants but my general state of mind in this moment of my life.
